Who Runs AP EAMCET Counselling?

AP EAMCET — officially AP EAPCET — is conducted by APSCHE, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, through the counselling portal cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. It is a distinct process from Telangana's TG EAPCET (formerly TS EAMCET); the two states split their engineering entrance and counselling systems after bifurcation, and each now runs its own exam, portal, and quota rules. AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 Schedule

Notice that registration, certificate verification, and web options entry overlap rather than run strictly one after another — you can complete certificate verification as soon as your registration and fee payment go through, and start entering web options the moment verification is done, without waiting for every other candidate's window to close.

What About Phase 2?

A Phase 2 is expected to follow Phase 1 to fill vacant seats and allow eligible candidates to upgrade — this is the normal pattern for AP EAMCET counselling. However, exact Phase 2 dates for 2026 had not been announced as of this writing (mid-July). Like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh applies a local/non-local reservation rule to engineering seats — the majority go to candidates who meet AP's local-candidate criteria, generally tied to schooling history within the state, while a smaller non-local share is open to candidates from the rest of the country. Your local/non-local status is established during certificate verification, so double-check it is recorded correctly before you finalise web options — an error here can misclassify which quota pool you're actually competing in.

JNTU and AP Engineering Colleges

Most AP EAMCET seats sit at colleges affiliated to Andhra Pradesh's own JNTU campuses — JNTU Kakinada and JNTU Anantapur — since JNTU Hyderabad became part of Telangana's counselling system after bifurcation. How Web Options Filling Works

1. Rank your preferred college-branch combinations in genuine order of preference, not just by name recognition.
2. Include a realistic spread — some reach options, several in your likely range, and a few safe fallbacks.
3. Lock your choices well before the 31 July deadline; last-minute portal load can make late submission risky.
4. Re-check your options list against the final published seat matrix, since colleges or branches can be added or withdrawn between verification and options entry.

Fee Payment and Seat Confirmation at Reporting

Once the 6 August allotment is out, self-reporting between 7-13 August is where you actually confirm the seat — this typically involves uploading or presenting your original documents, paying the prescribed counselling and admission fee, and, in some cases, physically reporting at the allotted college depending on that year's process. Keep these ready before the reporting window opens:

• AP EAMCET rank card and hall ticket
• SSC and intermediate mark sheets and pass certificates
• Local-candidate status proof used during certificate verification
• Caste, income, or EWS certificate, if applicable
